RO Factory is a Ragnarok Zero: Global feature that allows players to create and customize their own footprint effects and share them with other players.
Want to unleash your creativity and design a unique footprint effect for your character? In Ragnarok Zero, you can create, configure, and even make your custom footprints available in the Market for other players to enjoy!
Below is a complete step-by-step guide on how to use the creation tool and register your Footprint.
Step 1: Accessing the RO Factory Tool
- Open the Ragnarok Zero Launcher and click the RO FACTORY button.
- The game will launch in a special mode dedicated exclusively to effect creation and customization.
Step 2: Preparing Your Footprint Image
Before tweaking settings in-game, you need to prepare your Footprint image on your computer:
- Create or choose a cool image you want to turn into a footprint.
- Save the image in the following folder on your PC: RagnarokZero\footprint\.
Image Requirements:
- Format: PNG
- Dimensions: 128 x 128 pixels
- File size: 1 MB or less
- Pro Tip: We recommend using PNG images with a transparent background for a clean, seamless look on the game floor!
Step 3: Setting Up Effects and Animations
With your image saved in the correct folder, select it inside RO Factory and adjust the following settings:
- Animation Type: Choose the animation style that best fits your Footprint.
- Ground Direction:
- OFF: The footprint follows the direction your character is walking.
- ON: The footprint always faces toward the screen.
- Detailed Settings:
- Ground Size: Adjusts the size of the footprint effect left on the floor.
- Body Size: Adjusts the size of the trail effect around your character.
- Body Height: Adjusts the height (position) of the trail effect.
- Footprint Spacing: Adjusts the distance between the left and right steps.
- Background Map (Preview): You can change the background map to preview how your footprint looks under different lighting and environments.
- Note: The selected background map won't affect the actual footprint data, but it will be used to record the preview video displayed in the Market!
- Playback Controls: Click Play to walk around and see your footprint in action, or Stop to pause the preview.
Step 4: Saving Your Creation Files
Once you're happy with the result, save your Footprint before exiting RO Factory. The system will automatically generate 3 files on your computer:
- .foot file: Contains the creation data for the footprint effect.
- .mp4 file: The video preview of your footprint.
- .meta file: Official verification metadata.
Step 5: Registering Your Footprint in the Market
To share your creation with other players, click the Cloud Icon inside RO Factory to open the Market registration page.
Follow these upload steps:
- Metadata Upload: Upload the generated .meta file.
- Footprint Info: Upload the generated .foot file.
- Video Preview File: Upload the recorded .mp4 file.
- Important: The .meta, .foot, and .mp4 files must be generated during the exact same save session for registration to succeed!
- Collection Thumbnail: Upload the cover image that will be displayed in the Market showcase and item details.
- Terms Agreement: Open the terms, scroll to the bottom to enable the checkbox, and check "Agree to Terms".
Step 6: Filling Out Market Listing Information
Finally, fill in the details for your Market listing:
- Category: Select Footprint.
- Price: Currently, only free listings are supported.
- Market Listing Period: Set how long the item will remain in the Market (it will be automatically removed once the period ends).
- Title: Enter your Footprint's name (up to 22 characters; English letters, numbers, and spaces only).
- Tags: Choose up to 2 tags to help players find your style through search and filters.
- Color: Select the primary color of the effect to help with Market search filtering.
Once you complete these steps and system conversion is complete, your work will be automatically listed in the global market for all your friends and the community to enjoy!
You can check the status of your creations anytime under the My Work List menu. Have fun creating, and enjoy sharing your custom effects!
