My game is crashing

Modified on Sat, 12 Apr at 7:30 PM

※What could be causing my game to freeze?

There are several reasons why the game might freeze or experience performance issues. The most common causes include:

System specifications below the recommended requirements for the game

Outdated or corrupted video drivers

Graphics settings too high for your computer's capabilities

Background programs or processes consuming too many system resources

Unstable internet connection

 Corrupted game files

※What can I try to resolve the issue?

Here are some steps you can try to fix the freezing in Ragnarok Online:

1. Check the system requirements to ensure your computer meets or exceeds the recommended minimum specifications for the game.

2. Update your video drivers to the latest version. Visit the manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) to download the latest drivers.

3. Lower the graphics settings in the game. Go to the graphics settings menu and adjust the resolution and graphic effects to a lower or medium level.

4. Close other programs and background processes that might be using up system resources. Use Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to check active processes and close unnecessary ones.

5. Check your internet connection, especially if the issue occurs while playing online. An unstable connection can cause freezing or disconnections.

6. Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall that might be interfering with the game’s execution. Some security settings can block certain game processes, causing freezing.

7. Restart your computer. This can help clear unnecessary processes and improve overall system performance.

※The issue persists. What should I do?

If the game continues to freeze after trying the steps above, we recommend reaching out to our Customer Service for further assistance. When submitting a ticket, please include the following information:

Your computer specifications (processor, RAM, video card, etc.)

Details about when the freezing occurs (if possible, provide a detailed description or capture the moment with a video or screenshot)

If the problem happens in all areas of the game or only in specific moments (such as in crowded maps or specific missions)
A DxDiag report (system diagnostics)

How to get your DxDiag:

1. Press Windows + R on your keyboard.

2. Type dxdiag and press Enter.

3. Wait for the tool to load.

4. Click "Save All Information…" and save the file to your Desktop or another folder.

5. Attach this .txt file to your support ticket.

Extra tip:

Always keep your operating system and drivers updated. Also, avoid running heavy programs while playing to ensure that your computer’s resources are fully available for the game.
